TV presenter and comedian Nick Hancock has thrown his support behind Nantwich Sainsbury’s charity drive. Hancock, who lives locally, is vice president of the Wingate Centre in Wrenbury, the store’s chosen charity for 2013.
Organisers of Nantwich Food and Drink Festival have paid tribute to everyone involved in making it another massive success. Thousands of people poured into the town over the three-day festival, which boasted 140 outside traders and 280 events.

A charity football game in Nantwich involving TV stars will help raise money for the Wingate Centre in Wrenbury later this month. The All Star charity XI v The Soap Stars match will be played at Nantwich Town’s Weaver Stadium on April 29.
Easter Eggs are pouring in to the Cat Radio and Richmond Village Nantwich as part of their annual appeal. The scheme, which also involves Nantwich Sainsbury’s on Middlewich Road, has seen more than 100 eggs being handed in.
