Wistaston church launches weekly community café

Wells Green Methodist Church in Wistaston is launching “Café Wells Green” this Friday (April 8).

The café will be open every Friday morning (10am-12pm) and will serve tea, coffee and squash with donations rather than a price list.

The annual ‘Holly Fair’ took place at Wells Green Methodist Church on Brookland Avenue in Wistaston.

In the entrance hall there was a Fairtrade goods stall with food items, a hamper to be raffled, a book stall and Christmas cards for sale.

The annual ‘Holly Fair’ at Wells Green Methodist Church in Wistaston has helped to raise more than £1,800 for church funds.

In the entrance hall, there was a hamper made up of Fair Traded goods, sponsored by Wells Green Choir, and a stall of Traidcraft foods and Christmas gifts.

The annual ‘Holly Fair’ at Wells Green Methodist Church on Brookland Avenue in Wistaston raised more than £1,500.

In the entrance hall, there was a raffle to win a hamper of Fairtrade goods, a competition to win two knitted animals and crocheted items for sale made by 100-year-old church member Olwen Wood.
