Crewe & Nantwich RUFC 1sts returned to winning in what was a “much-needed performance”, according to head coach John Farr.
The 1sts won 33-17 against Walsall and eased their relegation worries after a mixed run of results.

And coach John Farr described the result as “disappointing” as his side were beaten at the breakdown.
Crewe & Nantwich RUFC 1sts began life in Midlands 2 West (North) Division with a convincing 39 -22 home win against Walsall RFC.
The hosts included many new faces after 10 players retired or left the club to play elsewhere.
Crewe & Nantwich RUFC romped to a comfortable 38-18 victory at home to Walsall in Midlands 1 West.
And the Vagrants side did it without their two influential Australians, Ben Ham and James Wivell, who had returned home for Christmas.
