Grants offered to Nantwich groups promoting walking and cycling

Communities in Nantwich and Crewe are being invited to apply for grants aimed at promoting walking and cycling.

Town and parish councils, charities and voluntary organisations can apply to Cheshire East Council for up to £9,999 in funding.

Cheshire East to review “walking routes to school” plan amid fury

Council bosses will review plans to scrap school transport and force some Nantwich pupils to walk to school.

Cheshire East had passed a motion to axe free school buses on five routes, including Willaston to Malbank and Brine Leas schools in Nantwich.
