Two local charities are joining forces to recruit volunteers at a special event in South Cheshire next month. Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity and Hope House Children’s Hospice are staging the recruitment drive on Wednesday July 2.
A Macmillan Cancer Unit serving Nantwich and Crewe needs more volunteers to help cope with demand. The Unit, at Leighton Hospital, is hosting a series of walks to support people in their active recovery from cancer treatment.

The Crewe & Nantwich Community Awards 2014 are seeking nominations. The awards, run by Nantwich-based community radio station The Cat, aim to celebrate people who dedicate their time to help others.
