A Nantwich electronic component firm has helped raise almost £500 for a hospice by tackling the gruelling Tough Mudder North West challenge.
Four staff from Gateway Electronic Components on Beam Heath Way took part in the event at Cholmondeley Castle over a 10-mile course and 20 obstacles to raise funds for Hope House Children’s Hospices.
Fifteen fundraisers from Nantwich-based Hibberts Solicitors donned their trainers to take part in the challenging Tough Mudder event at Cholmondeley Castle.
The group splashed through trenches and climbed over walls in a bid to raise money for Crewe charity, Autism Networks which is close to the heart for a member of staff who has been volunteering there for years.

A team of workers from a South Cheshire car dealership toughed it out in the Cholmondeley mud to raise £1,000 for charity.
They tackled the annual Tough Mudder challenge in the grounds of Cholmondeley Castle in aid of Children In Need.
Contestants tested their endurance to the limit in a “Tough Mudder” event held at Cholmondeley Castle near Nantwich. Around 7,500 competitors lined up to take on a 12-mile Cheshire assault course, including 22 obstacles, ice baths, electric shocks, fire, and miles of mud.
