Nantwich Town slipped to their second home defeat in four days after being beaten 3-0 by Stamford.
It was a case of two very different halves for the Dabbers who were the better side in the opening 45 minutes at the Weaver Stadium.
By James Briscoe Nantwich Town hotshot Steve Foster scored a header after just 28 seconds to set the Dabbers on their way to victory. It was a first win in four matches for Danny Johnson’s men and was a fitting send off for Frank Hope.
Nantwich Town earned themselves a hard-fought point in a 2-2 draw away at Stamford. The Dabbers came back from conceding a second minute penalty and were only seven minutes away from grabbing all three points.
