Two large, hinged glass doors at the west entrance to St Mary’s Church in Acton were officially opened and blessed by Rev’d Canon John Malbon.
In his speech, prior to cutting a ribbon to officially open the new doors, Rev’d Canon John Malbon said that solid doors present a physical barrier to communication, they say ‘Keep out’.
A seasonal concert is being staged by The Nantwich Singers on December 12.
The performance is called ‘Welcome, Yule!’ and will be held in St Mary’s Church, Nantwich at 3pm.
The funeral for Rev Ken Sambrook who died recently will take place on Monday November 29.
It will take place at 11:30am at St Mary’s Church in Wistaston.
Nantwich Choral Society is back in action and will stage a live performance at St Mary’s Church on November 13.
It is the first concert of a “new era” for the society, and will start at 7.30pm.

The ‘Tea at The Tower’ walks are at a relaxed pace from 1pm.

The “Tea at the Tower” community cafe in Acton makes a welcome return from Sunday August 29.
The cafe has remained closed since March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Organisers of the Nantwich CAP Job Club said they have made the “difficult decision” to close.
They have cited “staffing issues” as a reason for the announcement.

St Mary’s Church on Monks Lane in Acton, near Nantwich, organised several events over the sunny Easter weekend.
On Good Friday, visitors to the church enjoyed an Outdoor Service, an Easter Trail and an Easter Garden.
