A South Cheshire photographer is holding a ‘family and pets’ day at Nantwich Town’s Weaver Stadium later this month. Simon J Newbury, the club’s official photographer, is inviting families down to get their pictures done – with no sitting fee.
Organisers have announced the date and line-up for the Boxjam charity music event for South Cheshire. The event, held at The Box venue in Crewe, is part of the national ‘Oxjam’ fundraiser for Oxfam.
Thousands of people braved the strong winds in Nantwich to enjoy the annual Battle of Nantwich Holly Holy Day celebrations. Visitors marvelled in the traditional spectacle as hundreds of troops from The Sealed Knot performed their re-enactment on Mill Island.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
