A young cadet from Nantwich has enjoyed a Royal visit to remember after completing his Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. William Patterson, formerly of the 100th Air Training Corps (Nantwich), was invited to meet HRH the Earl of Wessex at St James Palace.

Nantwich college students go extra mile for Poppy Appeal

Nantwich students have joined forces with the Royal British Legion to help raise funds through this year’s Poppy Appeal. Members of Reaseheath College’s Students Association hope to raise £3,500 by selling poppies at Crewe Railway Station until Remembrance Sunday on November 11.

Nantwich ex Royal Marine smashes world record

A former Royal Marine from Nantwich has smashed the world record for running the fastest mile in the world with a 40lb pack on his back. Lee Riley, of Willaston, who ran the mile to raise money for the Royal British Legion, completed it in 5 mins and 16.9 secs.
