Nantwich’s favourite family has just expanded – after these beautiful cygnets arrived overnight! The mating swans on the River Weaver have been a popular attraction in the town over recent months.
Fish management students were in line for prize catches during a survey at Coole Acres Fishery and Fish Hatchery in Nantwich. The Reaseheath College students spent a practical session investigating species and size of population of fish in the specimen pool.
A development of up to 1,100 houses, businesses, shops and a possible school in Nantwich has been approved by Cheshire East Council. The plan is for land at Kingsley Fields and was put forward by the North West Nantwich Consortium, including Reaseheath College and Mosaic Estates.

The Environment Agency has warned of possible flooding of the River Weaver in Nantwich as a storm is about to hit the UK. A Flood Alert has been issued for the Weaver catchment between Nantwich and Northwich over the next 24 hours.
