A busy restaurant and bar in Nantwich had to be evacuated after the log burner filled the building with smoke!
The incident happened at The Cheshire Cat on Welsh Row while dozens of people were dining.
Celebrity chef Nigel Haworth is to open a new dining pub in a village between Nantwich and Chester. Haworth hopes The Nag’s Head at Haughton Moss, near Tarporley, will become a famous dining experience, and has helped create 35 new jobs for the area.
Police closed the busy Nantwich Road in Crewe after a man climbed on to a rooftop and threw slates on to the road below. The drama began at around 5.30pm today (July 21) and the Cheshire police helicopter and dozens of officers were sent to the scene.
