Thousands of people gathered to enjoy the 44th annual Battle of Nantwich & Winter Fayre in and around Nantwich and Mill Island.

The event, organised by the Holly Holy Day Society,  saw hundreds of Sealed Knot troops re-enact the infamous battle of 1644.

South Cheshire charity team prepares for Mount Kilimanjaro challenge

A big-hearted team of Crewe and Nantwich charity supporters are preparing to tackle the Mount Kilimanjaro challenge to raise much-needed funds.

Thirteen adventurers representing organisations including Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity, Nantwich-based RedShift Community Hub, The Wingate Children’s Trust in Wrenbury and C.R.Y for Matthew, will set off on September 23.

Hundreds of Santas donned their red suits and beards to take part in the annual Nantwich Santa Dash.

There were two Santa Dash distances – one lap of 2.5 kilometres or two laps of five kilometres – which both followed the same route around the town centre.
