Cheshire East’s pest control service could soon charge Nantwich residents four times as much for dealing with rats and mice.
The current in-house service, which tackles pests including rats, mice, wasps, ants and fleas, makes a loss.
Developers of a new Nantwich housing estate are battling a plague of giant rats, councillors were told. It’s feared building work on the Stapeley Gardens site, off London Road, has disturbed a nest of rats on land close to the development.
