Nantwich’s favourite feathered family is flourishing on the banks of the Weaver, as these pictures show! Two cygnets and their mum and dad were seen near Waterlode this weekend by walkers out and about.
Couples can now tie the knot at the most iconic park in the Crewe and Nantwich area. Queens Park, seen as one of Cheshire East’s “jewels in the crown”, has been formally named as an official wedding venue.
Volunteers have clubbed together to tackle problems facing one of South Cheshire’s most popular parks. Queens Park in Crewe is set to benefit from the new volunteer group A.N.T. (Action Not Talk).
Crewe & Nantwich MP Edward Timpson teamed up with his young daughter Lydia to complete the “Step Out For Stroke” walk. The event, which was held in Crewe’s Queen’s Park, was organised by the Stroke Association.
MP for Crewe and Nantwich Edward Timpson has swapped his usual London Marathon for the Nantwich Triathlon. And Mr Timpson and his wife Julia completed the Cheshire 10km Run in Queen’s Park in Crewe to help prepare.

Nantwich residents are being urged to try a new activity to get fit – Nordic Walking. Taster sessions are being staged later this month and in July in a bid to persuade more people to get out during the summer.
Nantwich residents can look forward to a summer of flourishing flower beds thanks to an award-winning training scheme. The project, run by Cheshire East Council and delivered by Reaseheath College, has seen budding gardeners working in parks and gardens.
College students in Nantwich have planted thousands of bluebells to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Ten students from Reaseheath College planted 5,000 bulbs alongside the Crewe to Nantwich Greenway in Wistaston.
Reaseheath College students and staff are joining in the Crewe Queens Park celebrations. The college is joining forces with Crewe and Nantwich Horticulture Society to present a local produce and activities show, including demonstrations.
