South Cheshire basked in 26C sunshine yesterday (May 20) as the UK enjoyed temperatures even warmer than Marbella on the hottest day of the year so far.

The hot weather was a test of the new lockdown measures after Boris Johnson announced that English residents can now spend as much time as they like outside – as long as social distancing is observed.
