A £12,500 project to improve a War Memorial in memory of 16 local men who died in the two World Wars has been completed in Wistaston.

An area around the Wistaston & Rope War Memorial in the grounds of St Mary’s Church on Church Lane has been modernised and made safer to visit.

A delayed IT project which is set to cost Cheshire’s councils almost twice its original price is now expected to be fully operational next February.

Cheshire East Council and Cheshire West and Chester Council entered into a joint agreement with technology firm Agilisys in 2017 to launch a new HR and finance system worth £11.5 million.
