Primary schools across Nantwich and Crewe are to share £1.7 million of funding to boost sports provision. The money is part of a £150 million a year commitment by the Government under the Primary PE and Sport Premium, until 2020.
A literacy charity has appealed for help to recruit more Nantwich volunteers to work in local primary schools. Beanstalk recruits, vets, trains and supports volunteers to work with children who have fallen behind with their reading.
