A new life-saving defibrillator has been installed in Wistaston, thanks to a £1,300 ‘Community Pledge’ grant from Baker Wynne & Wilson.
The defibrillator is situated at the front of the hall at Wistaston Memorial Hall and Community Centre on Church Lane.
Nantwich Concert Band has received a cash boost to help buy new instruments in a bid to expand to new members.
The group were awarded a grant by Baker Wynne & Wilson estate agents, as part of the Nantwich firm £25,000 community pledge scheme.

The firm held a celebration event at Combermere Abbey where the lucky beneficiaries were invited to pick up their grants.

John Baker said the idea is to thank all the support the agents have had from the community over the last quarter of a century.
