New travel system launched for Cheshire East’s elderly users

Cheshire East Council says a new system will make it easier for older and more vulnerable residents to apply for concessionary travel passes.

The authority and its transport company, Transport Service Solutions (TSS), have launched a new online application portal on the council’s website.

Elderly bus users in Nantwich are calling for timetable changes to key morning routes so they can use their free passes.

They say they are being disadvantaged because the number 89 bus to Wrexham leaves Nantwich bus station at 9.25am.
