Nantwich Police say they are investigating several reports of a man acting suspiciously near to parked cars.
The incidents happened in the Birchin Lane area of the town.

CEC consider fines for drivers who leave engines running

Cheshire East is to consider whether it should adopt new legal powers to fine drivers for leaving their engines running while vehicles are parked.
The council’s highways and transport committee narrowly voted in favour of asking for a feasibility study to be undertaken into engine idling and enforcement.
Bus stuck in Nantwich town centre by van on yellow lines
These pictures show how a bus driver was forced to disembark and hunt down the owner of a van left blocking its path in the centre of Nantwich.
Onlookers said the C84 became stuck on the tight left-hand bend on Swine Market in Nantwich because the van had been parked on double yellow lines.

Police want to trace an elderly man after an alleged spitting incident on Welsh Row which has left a Nantwich woman badly shaken.
Victim Sophie King said the man leaned in to her car window and “spat in my face several times” after she had asked him to move away.

The fire happened on Calveley Hall Lane shortly before 6am on Tuesday (November 12).

Police are probing a vandal attack on around 20 cars in the same Nantwich street.
All the cars were parked on Queens Drive in Nantwich and were scratched with a key or something similar, officers say.
