The owners of a popular takeaway in Nantwich have issued an appeal after crooks broke in and stole large quantities of oil.
Offenders targeted the Emperor Chinese Takeaway on Beechwood Close in Stapeley.
A Swan turned completely black after getting covered in oil, has been released back into the wild after a remarkable transformation at RSPCA Stapeley.
The swan was picked up by an RSPCA officer from a lake in Radcliffe, Manchester, after being spotted by a member of the public.
Drivers in Nantwich and Crewe are warned to avoid the A500 and M6 junction 16 after a fire involving a lorry carrying cooking oil. The heavy goods vehicle overturned on the northbound sliproad at junction 16.
