Nantwich schools warn of closure over NUT strike action

The headteacher of a Nantwich academy has warned the school may have to shut if teachers walk out on strike.

Andrew Cliffe, head of Brine Leas School on Audlem Road, has written to parents of the 1,000+ students as strike action looms on July 5.

Schools across Nantwich and surrounding villages will be hit by the national teachers strike this week. Several primary schools in the town are having to close some year group classes on Thursday (June 27), while others remain open.
