Nantwich Town Council has missed out on funds to pay for community projects under the New Homes Bonus scheme, councillors were told.
The council had submitted a number of bids for a share of the £162,000 pot made available under the New Homes Bonus fund by Cheshire East Council.

Nantwich is one of seven areas of Cheshire East to benefit from a £2 million pot of funding over the next two years.
Nantwich will receive around £320,000 over the next two years for new schemes as part of the Government’s New Homes Bonus.
Now award groups are being set by councillors to help decide how to spend the money.
Cheshire East Council is to receive more than £5 million in a “New Homes Bonus” grant from the Government in 2014. It’s one of the largest payouts in the North West – and has sparked criticism from campaigners fighting over-development in areas like Nantwich.
