Members of the Nantwich Walled Garden Society (NWGS) have voiced concerns over plans to build new houses on the historic site off Welsh Row.

Cheshire East Council is currently considering two new planning applications for permission to build six houses on the site.

Campaigners fighting to stop Nantwich’s Walled Garden being developed, have labelled the latest plans “cultural vandalism”.

A development company is bidding to repair the damaged Grade II Listed walls surrounding the Tudor gardens off Kings Lane, Welsh Row, and create vehicle access.

Members of Nantwich Walled Garden Society have vowed to fight to restore the garden and turn it into a tourist attraction. The garden site is owned by a private developer who has permission from Cheshire East Council to build properties on the site.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.
