Aldi’s Nantwich store is now donating surplus food directly to two local groups for vulnerable people in the area.
The food is being donated to homelessness charity Chance Changing Lives as well Nantwich Primary Academy.

Youngsters from Nantwich Primary Academy enjoyed a free visit to watch Santa’s Rusty Robot at the town’s Civic Hall.

Up to 100 Key Stage 1 children at the former Wyche Primary, on Manor Road, received the tickets as a donation from local town councillor Penny Butterill.

The youngsters have been busy baking and decorating Pudsey cupcakes, wearing silly socks and Pudsey ears, and also having a Pudsey Bear raffle.

Wyche Primary School is to be renamed as Nantwich Primary Academy.

The new name is part of the re-branding of the Manor Road school after a failed Ofsted report 12 months ago.
