Dorfolk Park in Nantwich will be the scene of another Spooktacular Firework and Halloween celebration this weekend. The event, branded as the North West’s “Biggest Fireworks Display”, is being organised by Crewe-based Blitz Fireworks.
Nantwich Food and Drink Festival organisers are promising an even tastier array of attractions when the popular “feastival” returns to the town centre this week. The event is free of charge and offers more than 400 attractions across the heart of the town in shops and marquees.
Campaigners fighting to prevent more housing development in the Stapeley area of Nantwich have launched a new website to encourage others to join the protest. The site, www.protectstapeley.org.uk, highlights fears over potential development of 1,300 homes on land between Broad Lane, London Road, Peter De Stapleigh Way, and the bridleway known as Deadman’s Lane.
A new season of stand up comedy in Nantwich got off to a rip-roaring start at the civic centre this weekend. A packed audience was treated to three very different comedians during the three-hour show, all linked together by the ‘with it’ comedian Vince Atta.
