Cheshire MPs say they have made a breakthrough in the campaign to save Chester Zoo.
Today, the MPs including Kieran Mullan of Crewe and Nantwich, and Edward Timpson of Eddisbury, say they have “secured a commitment” from Zoos Minister Zac Goldsmith.
Concerned school chiefs and politicians in Cheshire East have met with Government ministers to voice fears over the National Funding Formula.
They travelled to meet Schools Minister Nick Gibb after it emerged Cheshire East schools would face “difficulties” under the new formula.
Community groups in Nantwich are being urged to bid for almost £40,000 of funding to help develop and expand their work. Latest figures show the Community First Neighbourhood Matched Fund has £39,592 of non-allocated funds for Cheshire East alone.
