Fed-up road users in Wrenbury have launched a petition to get this busy pothole-ridden rural road re-surfaced.

It comes after residents believe Cheshire East Council had the funds to do the work on Station Road and Wrenbury Road last year – but then diverted the money elsewhere.

The fair, organised by St Michael & All Angels Parochial Church Council, took place in the field next to the church and Marbury Big Mere, near Wrenbury, Nantwich.

Gates open at 12.30pm and the fair takes places in the field next to St Michael’s All Angels Parish Church and Marbury Big Mere.

A 62-year-old man has been sentenced for drink driving after crashing his Ford Ranger into a field in Wrenbury.

William Warrington, from Hollins Lane, Marbury, had left the scene after crashing off Cholmondeley Road between a telegraph pole and a metal gate at around 10.15pm on July 31 this year.

The Charlesworth family, which has been farming at the Grange Farm in Marbury near Wrenbury for 35 years, has been given the go-ahead to use its site as a wedding venue to provide additional income.

A family-run farm in Marbury, near Wrenbury, could soon become home to a wedding venue after being granted a licence for music.

Grange Farm was given permission by Cheshire East Council for live and recorded music on Saturdays from 6pm to 12.30am.
