Workshops focussed on “footwear” form part of the Olympic Summer at Nantwich Museum celebrating the London 2012 Olympics. The sessions for children will take place at the Pillory Street museum this Wednesday and Thursday August 8 and 9.
A demonstration by Britain’s top showjumper Ben Maher earned a standing ovation from a capacity crowd at Reaseheath College, Nantwich. Ben, 29, a leading contender for the GB showjumping team at the London Olympics, gave a masterclass at Reaseheath’s Equestrian Centre.
A Nantwich mum-of-five is flying the flag for Cheshire businesswomen after landing a top role with next year’s London Olympics. Eileen Williams, whose ESTC firm is based in Nantwich, will take up her public welfare position with the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) in January.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
