Crewe Alexandra will visit Nantwich Town next weekend as they prepare for life back in League Two.
The Alex were relegated at the end of last season, with manager David Artell being sacked shortly after relegation was confirmed.
With football taking an enforced hiatus, the promotion hopes of South Cheshire’s League Two club Crewe Alexandra have been plunged into doubt.
Nantwich Town were cheered to the rafters as they more than held their own for most of their FA Cup 1st Round defeat away at League Two Stevenage.
But they were ultimately undone by superior set-plays and clinical finishing, toppling out of the competition with a 5-0 defeat.
