Crewe Alexandra recall keeper Jaaskelainen from loan spell with Nantwich Town

Nantwich Town on-loan goalkeeper Will Jaaskelainen has returned to Crewe Alexandra after the League Two side recalled the youngster from his loan spell with the Dabbers.

Jaaskelainen has become a fan favourite at the Weaver Stadium having had three separate loan spells with the club, making 36 appearances and keeping 13 clean sheets.

A superb goalkeeping display from Marine stopper Martin Fearon frustrated Nantwich Town who were held 1-1 at the Marine Travel Arena.

The Dabbers took an early lead through Harry Clayton who fired home from close range following a goal mouth scramble before Josh Davies headed in the equaliser on the hour mark.

Nantwich Town have signed Crewe Alexandra keeper Will Jaaskelainen on a month’s loan.

The deal, confirmed by both clubs today, sees the highly-rated stopper join the Weaver Stadium outfit in time for this weekend’s FA Cup tie.
