The weather held fine, thousands flocked in, and organisers had broad smiles as Nantwich Show once again proved a massive success.
By the end, the show ground at Dorfold Park was bathed much longed-for warm sunshine, and families young and old went home happy.
Thousands of visitors enjoyed another fun-filled Nantwich Show, despite more bad luck with the weather. The rain failed to dampen the spirits of organisers, exhibitors, staff, visitors – and even the animals managed to find shelter!
A local cheese producer will be exhibiting more than 100 cheeses at the Nantwich Show next week (July 31). And Joseph Heler Cheese, based in Hatherton near Nantwich, will be hoping to scoop some top awards at the 2013 International Cheese Awards.
Nantwich Show organisers said all efforts are now focused on making The International Cheese Awards as big a success as possible. Secretary Adrian Lawrence confirmed they had to cancel the rest of Nantwich Show because of saturated ground conditions at Dorfold Park.
Organisers of next month’s Nantwich Show are promising another record-breaking event. Around 36,000 visitors poured through the gates of the show at Dorfold Park in 2011, and directors hope this year’s remains the top one day event in the UK.
TV chef James Martin made a surprise appearance at a Nantwich residential home.
The Yorkshireman put on a live cooking demo at the Clarence House home in Stapeley to help promote the company’s new healthy menu.
