Plans for parking charges in ‘free’ towns scrapped by Cheshire East

Plans to introduce parking charges in towns where it is currently free, have been controversially scrapped by Cheshire East Council.

If approved, charges would have been introduced in Middlewich, Alsager, Holmes Chapel, Sandbach and other towns in line with Nantwich, Crewe, and Macclesfield.

Former teacher, 71, jailed for sexually abusing boys in South Cheshire

A pensioner and former teacher who indecently assaulted boys at a school in South Cheshire in the 1970s, has been jailed.

Keith Cavendish-Coulson (pictured) pleaded guilty to 42 counts of indecent assault at Chester Crown Court and was today (November 6) sentenced to 6 years and 9 months.
