Teenager found guilty of hammer attack which blinded Nantwich man

A teenager has been convicted of attempted murder after a man was left blind following a hammer attack in Nantwich.

The 17-year-old – who cannot be named for legal reasons – was today (March 18) found guilty of the vicious assault following a three-week trial at Chester Crown Court.

A man has been jailed for 12 years for launching a “horrific” attack with a hammer and knife on his victim in Crewe.

Ferdinal Stewart, 56, from Downside Close in Ipswich, appeared at Chester Crown Court to be sentenced to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty at an earlier hearing.
