Cheshire East Council has launched a £4.28m discretionary fund to support small businesses.
The funding, which will be issued in a phased approach, will initially be open to applications for a 14-day period for the following prioritised businesses:

In response to Cllr Sam Corcoran’s claim that Cheshire East is in the top 10% of the 314 English Councils for payments of grants made to small businesses*, I feel that it is my duty to point out that this is not the case, at least not in any meaningful sense.
Crewe & Nantwich MP Kieran Mullan has called on Cheshire East Council to speed up a funding scheme to help residents hit by flooding.
