South Cheshire College and West Cheshire College have today formally merged to create a new FE College for Cheshire.
The newly formed college, which will have an annual turnover of £40m with more than 11,000 students and 1,300 apprentices, will retain the existing brands of South Cheshire College and West Cheshire College at its campuses in Crewe, Ellesmere Port and Chester.
South Cheshire College is in talks with three other colleges in the county to create one FE college by 2018.
The talks follow a review of Further Education across Cheshire and Warrington.
Reaseheath College in Nantwich has notched up a record year of student enrolments and achievements. The college’s annual awards ceremony celebrated the success of over 1,200 graduating FE students who have achieved industry qualifications and skills.
