A new £8 million technical education centres has been officially opened at Reaseheath College in Nantwich.

The Centre for Advanced Engineering and Agri-Technology will deliver skills in precision engineering, precision farming, service engineering and diagnostic testing.

An apprentice engineer at Bombardier’s Crewe works has been crowned Reaseheath College’s ‘Engineering Apprentice of the Year’.

Liam Barnett, 21, received his award from Bombardier General Manager Tony Webb at a workshop floor presentation in front of fellow apprentices and work colleagues.

Nantwich female student, 18, wins UK construction plant award

Talented Nantwich student Paige Carter has won one of the top awards in a competition to find the UK’s best construction plant apprentices.

The 18-year-old Reaseheath College student is the first female apprentice to win the title of ‘Apprentice of the Year’ at the Construction Plant-hire Association’s (CPA) Stars of the Future Awards.
