Crewe Vagrants Cricket Club is to host a Women’s Soft Ball festival on June 8.
Teams of six can enter the festival which is designed to make the game fun and encourage all ages to start playing.
Former Nantwich CC cricketer Lou Vincent has been banned from the sport worldwide for life after admitting match-fixing. The New Zealander, who led Nantwich to the Cheshire League title in 2010, went on television to make a full confession.

Nantwich CC 1sts will begin the defence of their ECB Cheshire County title at home to Macclesfield on April 20. The 2013 season fixture list was released this week, handing Nantwich a home start at Whitehouse Lane.
