A talented athlete from Nantwich has been selected to represent Team GB at Duathlon championships in the next 12 months.

Katie Latham recently finished the Manchester Marathon with a personal best time of 3 hours 10 minutes, placing her in the top 30 for her F35 age group.

Elle’s Stars girls raise more than £1,200 at Nantwich Duathlon event

A group of Brine Leas girls called Elle’s Stars, have raised more than £1,200 from their exploits in the Nantwich Duathlon.

Competing in memory of their friend Elle Morris, who died earlier this year, they completed the Kids FUN Duathlon at Barony Park in aid of Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

A record 1,000 adults and 370 youngsters took part in the popular Nantwich Triathlon and Duathlon events at the weekend.

Competitors in the adult race entered either the Sprint, Super Sprint or Fun race distance, or the Team Relay.

Thomas Robinson, who has Muscular Dystrophy, will aim to run 400 metres, cycle two kilometres and then run a further kilometre in aid of the charity that supports sufferers like him.
