We’re currently into the 19th series of the iconic BBC show Dragon’s Den, in which plucky and creative entrepreneurs pitch their businesses in a quest to secure investment.
As of 2015, the Dragons’ cumulative investment had peaked at £15,7000,069, across a number of company and product ideas that showcased the most commercial potential.
Dragons’ Den winners Neil and Laura Westwood were in Nantwich to launch their Magic Whiteboard product backed by Theo Paphitis. The couple have secured a deal to sell the product in 75 Sainsbury’s stores across the UK, including the Middlewich Road store in Nantwich.
Nantwich entrepreneur and businessman Tim Morgan made his debut TV appearance on Dragons’ Den with his Mountain Trike invention. Tim faced the Dragons in a bid to secure investment for his unique all-terrain wheelchair.
A triple amputee army veteran will be visiting a Nantwich company which helped him adapt to his injuries. Andy Reid will call in on The Mountain Trike Company, based in Walgherton, along with local MP Edward Timpson.
Teenagers from a Nantwich school beat their rivals to win a coveted “Dragon’s Den” style competition. The Malbank School team of Ella-Jade Harris, Meg Wild and Alex Sutton came out on top in the Busch “Make It Enterprising Challenge”.
Nantwich radio entrepreneur Liz Southall met one of her heroes in Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis. Liz, founder of South Cheshire’s Red Shift Radio, was at an event at Edgbaston Cricket Ground laid on by Ryman, whose head office is in Crewe.
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
