Nantwich Museum has acquired a Tudor treasure found by a metal detector near the town, thanks to generous donors. The Pillory Street venue managed to raise the £220 to secure the Tudor cast silver-gilt dress hook.
Big-hearted donors across Crewe and Nantwich have inundated their local children’s hospital unit with toys and games. Staff at the Child and Adolescent Unit at Leighton Hospital have been overwhelmed by the number of donations to help keep children entertained at Christmas.
Three dedicated blood donors from Nantwich have been recognised for rolling up their sleeves to help save dozens of lives. John Bellamy, John McIlwraith and Daniel Robinson were honoured at a ceremony by NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT).
