Cheshire NHS diabetes team wins achievement award

A Cheshire NHS team that supports Crewe and Nantwich people with diabetes has won an award following a round of public nominations.

Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership’s (CCICP) Diabetes Specialist Team is one of 12 winners of Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s Celebration of Achievement awards.

A charity ball is being planned to help the family of battling youngster Lewis Crossley in his fight against a rare cancer.

Lewis, of Hough, near Shavington, was diagnosed with T Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and has undergone challenging treatments including multiple courses of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.
