At the Environment and Regeneration Overview and Scrutiny meeting on Monday 18th January 2021, I raised the point that Cllr Craig Browne mentioned at Cabinet last week that “The Transport Ministry has confirmed that CEC’s expression of interest to the (government) rural mobility fund has been successful”.

Better buses are on the agenda for Cheshire with transport chiefs keen to see passenger numbers rise.
Members of the Cheshire and Warrington local transport body agreed on Thursday to work on developing a bus strategy for the area over the next year.

The leader of Cheshire East Council’s Independent group Arthur Moran has stepped aside ahead of a new era of no overall control.
Cllr Arthur Moran, of Nantwich North and West, has been replaced in the role by Cllr Craig Browne, who represents Alderley Edge.
