Planners back 45 new homes bid near Wrenbury despite objections

Plans to build 45 affordable homes in the open countryside in Wrenbury have been recommended for approval despite objections from the parish council and local residents.

Sovini Homes wants to build the houses across two plots, on land south of Sandfield House, Station Road.

Shavington “affordable housing” scheme refused planning by councillors

A development consisting of 100% affordable housing in Shavington has been refused planning permission by Cheshire East councillors.

The plans, which would have seen 40 homes built on land off Newcastle Road, were recommended for refusal by CEC planners.

A bid to revive plans for new homes on a stretch of Shavington countryside has been rebuffed by councillors.

Keyworker Homes and the Guinness Partnership wanted to build 44 affordable homes in Newcastle Road – on land to the west of the Esso garage.

She came to the rescue of residents at Richmond Village, off London Road, who were competing in an inter-village contest called “The English Countryside”.
