Residents in Cheshire East will face an increase in Council Tax from April after members approved the budget for next year.
A 2.99 per cent tax increase will come into effect – with the bill for a Band D property rising from £1,404.28 to £1,446.27.
Householders in Nantwich and Crewe face a further 2.99% rise on the Council Tax bills from April, it has been agreed.

Owners of empty homes in Crewe and Nantwich could face double council tax charges under new plans by Cheshire East Council.
They want to clamp down on the owners of empty homes which are being left unoccupied and unfurnished the long periods.
Council taxpayers across Nantwich and Crewe could face another 2.99% Council Tax rise from April 2019 under draft proposals by Cheshire East Council.
The authority has unveiled its Pre-Budget Consultation Report for 2019 to 2022.
Council Tax is set to rise by 5.99% this April – a higher increase than was proposed by Cheshire East Council just three months ago.

Nantwich councillors are to raise Council Tax for the town’s 5,200 households by 3.9%.
The rise will provide the council with a precept of £574,958 for the 2018-19 financial year.
