Pupils and staff to return to Brine Leas amid latest Coronavirus guidance

Pupils and staff from Brine Leas School in Nantwich showing no flu-like symptoms after a ski trip to Northern Italy can return to school, latest guidance has said.

A number of teachers and around 95 students were sent home today by headteacher David Cole as a precaution against potential Coronavirus after they had spent a week on their ski trip in Northern Italy.

A Nantiwch sixth form has been closed due to staff shortages after teachers who returned from ski trip in Italy were told to self-quarantine over Coronavirus fears.

It’s believed up to 12 teachers and 100 students who were on the week-long trip to Folgaria in Northern Italy have been told to stay at home for 14 days.

The shop was closed on Friday and Saturday and again this morning and one member of staff self quarantined while tests were carried out.

Clarks in Nantwich has confirmed the store is currently closed while a staff member is undergoing tests for suspected Coronavirus.

The store on High Street was closed on Friday and yesterday, with a notice on the door saying “due to unforeseen circumstances.”
