Members of the Rotary Club of Nantwich helped to collect more than £200 for Ukraine families at during the recent game between Nantwich Town and Scarborough.

Dabbers and Scarborough supporters have raised £229.76 for the Rotary Foundation UK Ukraine Relief Fund.

St Luke’s Hospice staff and volunteers have raised a tree-mendous £40,000 from their Christmas Tree Collection scheme.

More than 60 volunteers teamed up between January 13-16 to collect 2,824 individual Christmas trees from people’s homes in return for donations for the Hospice.

The scheme run by the 1st South West Cheshire Scout Group (The Andrews) in Crewe will raise money in aid of local Scouts, to support local children between 6-14 to gain skills for life.

Cash-strapped Cheshire East Council is owed a staggering £23.25 million in council tax, new figures have shown.

The figure, obtained under FOI by Local Democracy Reporting Service, accounts for the years since the local authority was founded in 2009 to the end of the last financial year in April 2021.
