Campaigners against plans for a 1,100-home “Nantwich South” scheme, have cast doubt on dozens of letters of support. Protect Stapeley say some letters claiming to back Muller Property’s plans which have been published on Cheshire East Council’s website may not be valid.

Campaigners fighting plans for a 1,000-home “Nantwich South” village in Stapeley are to launch a petition against the proposal. Crewe & Nantwich MP Edward Timpson and local councillors Andrew Martin and Peter Groves are expected to attend the launch of the petition tomorrow (July 14).

A housing developer claims more residents “accept” the need for controversial plans to build a new “Nantwich South” village. Colin Muller unveiled updated plans to create 1,000 homes in Stapeley with a new school, shops, business units and sports pitches.
