Fire damages shed, garage and campervan at two Nantwich homes

A shed fire which spread to a neighbour’s garage and campervan on a Nantwich street, was caused by an electrical fault, according to police. Residents emerged from their homes on Birchwood Drive, near the Barony, to watch as fire crews battled the blaze.

A man killed in the nine-vehicle pile-up on the M6 near the junction 16 for Nantwich has been named by Cheshire Police. Alan Bullock, aged 54, died in the horrific accident on the southbound carriageway involved two lorries, five cars and two vans.
